The organisation was founded by the late Dr. Mrs. Jane Irina Adu, a Ghanaian educationist, women’s activist, and book author.

The organisation started in the year 2000.

We provide support for over 200 children both in the shelter (home) and in various communities.

Currently, we have twenty-eight staff.

The Potter’s Village has a branch at Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana.

Mrs. Nana Ama Adu Owusu, the biological daughter of the founder is now in charge. She has been with the organisation since its inception and has risen through the ranks to now serve as theExecutive Director. She is a Lecturer by profession, currently pursuing a PhD programme at the University of Ghana, Legon. She additionally serves as a lay pastor at Holy Hill Chapel Assemblies of God, Accra.

Our operations and projects are funded by donations from organisations and individuals.

You can donate by sending in cash donation through our Mobile Money numbers or Bank Accounts. You can also support by donating food items, clothing, educational materials and other items.

We are located behind the Forest Hotel, Dodowa (Accra).

The government supports us by monitoring us regularly and providing advice to ensure that we are operating according to the regulations of the state.
